Randall Barbour, Ph. D.,  Hielscher, Andreas, Ph.D., Tissue Optics and Technology Development:  This laboratory is part of the Health Science Center at Brooklyn. We are researching methods for imaging human tissue by optical tomography, a nonionizing diagnostic imaging tool. In collaboration with other groups, we are extending the utility of optical imaging by developing contrast agents sensitive to different metabolic states, and targeting vehicles capable of point-specific binding to a given set of targets.

Anderson, Virginia, MD, Strzelecki, Tadeusz M.D./Ph.D.:  PEDIATRIC AUTOPSY CPC STUDY VIA CAMPUS INTRANET:  In continuos effort in computer-assisted teaching of pathology in our Department, an interactive computer (Mac) application is developed that could be accessible in a classroom or campus intranet. It contains clinical presentation, lab data and autopsy findings of a case in a format to exercise clinical-pathologic correlation.   It integrates a brief comment, relevant image and/or one type from a set of questions to deliver a teaching message or exercise student’s knowledge and judgement.
